Calcium Reactor suggestion

I need to purchase a calcium reactor for my 400 gallons mix reef system. What are your experiences, suggestions and how would you run it? TIA

I use a DaStaCo. I like it. It is very easy to get a stable tank using it. Its expensive but its really easy to use. There is no bubble counter or ph controller and flow rate is on a knob marked Alk. I run the effluent in front of the skimmer and use a CO2 scrubber on the skimmer. Very smooth alk, calcium and ph. I started it as soon as I saw the first spots of coralline algae on the rocks. It runs 24 hours per day. I have the light sensor to stop it after lights out but I have not tried it because the CO2 scrubber keeps Ph stable within 0.1.

Never dosed again since I learned a carx and how it works

I had got advice from a member on here . Pretty much you don’t need a ph probe either if you learn how to run a carx

Thanks that how I feel ( not into gadgets) I want to keep it simple at long at it take care of my ALK and that the main reason why I posted to get help by someone that are experienced someone with about the same tank size

I run A Tunze 3171 on my 80g. I ran a 6" modified Skimz media reactor on my 120.
Most of the quality carx are good, imo.

I run a quality 2 stage regulator and control it by bubble count. A quality 2 stage unit is what I would recommend.

A peristaltic pump for effluent control is recommended but not needed.

I would go with a large geo or a lifereef carx.

I do not use a controller or ph probe either.

It is old school but it is so simple to run that I wont change.

I run a Geo without a ph controller, however I do use one to monitor the CaRx. This way I can make sure my feed pump is running, bubble count is stable, and that my co2 tank is still full.

I’m running my Geo 818 with a Kamoer fx-stp and like it a lot. I tried dialing in with a feed pump, but It wasn't consistent and required constant attention.
