Are you mixing the box all at once?

No I haven't had to add anything to get these high levelsDepends on what you added to raise them. If you added nothing, then no, I wouldn't conclude there's any relationship.
I had quite a bit of red and green coroline algae on the back of my glass. But I scraped it off and is slowly coming back I don't mind the colorI have this issue as well but I use the reef crystals. My lfs told me to ease off the reef crystals for now since I have a low coral demand. I had a bloom of coroline then some turned white now seems to be coming back. Our tank is about 6 months old maybe 7.
That's exactly what I have been doingI let it grow on the back glass and keep the front clean. The sides I clean once and a while to keep it from getting too thick.
That's a good point but I have two hydrometers and a third fluval one in the tank and a refractometerWhat are you using to measure your SG? If your device of off, i.e. mis/non calibrated it may be causing you to add too much salt mix and by extension too much Ca, Mg and alk as well.
