Why are you assuming things? Do you have any advice to add to the post? We all love fish too so I dont understand why your being so aggressive and rude....

Personally, For any large fish I have only used grow out tanks when the main system is already running.

And have used smaller tanks for a variety of reasons, controlled pairing, some fish are more selective in mates than others. Or adding small pond fish, that i dont want swallowed.

A tank for juvenile fish still needs to take in the behavior and growth rate of the particular fish. grow out tank requirements for a juvenile marine beta is different than a grow out tank for a juvenile butterflyfish.

But a 40g doesn't meet the needs for an active fish, such as a tang.

Why not wait until the 125g is setup and cycled to get the sailfin? Its not as though they are seasonal and unavailable.
