Welcome to the site! I would suggest looking through the stickied threads that can be found in most of the sections but for starters here are a few good ones, there are a lot more but just be careful not to overload yourself! If you need help with something specific post a thread about it and this community will help you find the answer! Once again welcome and great to have you!!! :D

There u go. Sometime u just have to throw out a question in order to get what u r looking for. ..dabbrooster.

Hey thanks guys is it better to buy saltwater already mixex or mix it myself
Its much cheaper to make the saltwater yourself, plus gives you personal control over it.

Not sure what you mean, when you add salt it should first add it to RODI water then add it to the tank once the parameters are correct.

If it is In your budget premixed salt will work fine for you. If you are doing a reef I would recommend ditching the canister filter. Good live rock, circulation and a good skimmer will work great. Go slow in let the reef mature.

I would suggest reading the links I posted, they will cover pretty much everything you need to know and then some. Once you read over them you will have a much better idea of what is ahead of you.

And RODI in short if just pure water, it has had everything removed from it, leaving nothing but water.

RODI refers to reverse osmosis and deionized water. You can either make it yourself (search "bulk reef supply" and go to their website and look at the RODI units they sell to get an idea what we are talking about. They hook up to your water supply and make pure water for your tank. ( you can also buy RODI in some fish stores and other places)

As shep says... Read read read!
Tons of information out there. It will help you understand what everyone here is talking about.

And by the way, welcome and good luck!

Hey thanks guys im a real dummy to this buy wanna try it so bad
Haha we all start out like that, we are just trying to help you avoid all the mistakes we have all made, there are 2 basic rules that you should follow the more research the better and nothing good ever happens fast.
