Can anyone help me

The best advice i can give you is to go slow and ask Alot of questions. I've seen too many people dive head first into this hobby expecting their tanks to be beautiful and florishing in a week after they put the very first drop of water in their tank. Not so. This is a hobby of patience and devotion. A reef aquarium can take up to a year to be fully mature. As for your question about salt. Good practice is to buy your own salt and mix in RODI Water, heat, and measure salinity ( salt content) with a refractometer. You NEVER add salt directly to your display tank. It must be mixed in a bucket or the like before hand. Power head, heater, ( i also use a air stone) Local fish stores will use the cheapest salt they can buy and mix it to a low salinity to cut cost and add profit.

DO NOT BE IN A RUSH.........BE PATIENT.

If you don't you likely to fail, lose precious livestock, lose a lot of money, become disenchanted with this awesome hobby,

Please do plenty of research. ..I mean plenty before you buy anything.

Depending on what type of tank you want ie: reef, fish only, aggressive fish only, softies, lps, sps, and so on.

This is a great hobby BUT can get very pricey,...but you must do a lot of research.

A simple thing of choosing the wrong tank can give you issues.
Canister filters is a really bad choice...really bad.

Here at R2R there are tons of people in all degrees of experience that can help lead you to a enjoyable hobby.

But if you don't listen to advise, this maybe your last tank.

Please research all the categories and you can learn to get on a good a path to succeed in this beautiful hobby.

Wish you luck and no question is a stupid question. ....just give as much information in your post for good constructive advice. .....
