Yeah they look like a pest unfortunately because it looks kinda like a Duncan/anemone
 
They don’t appear to be bothering anything. My only concern was whether it would be something that would be a nightmare later on.

Yeah I imagine they would be, I seen them on the list of bad pests before. Sucks to kill am animal intentionally but you're probably gonna have to do some more research and make the decision.
 
I honestly dont think its a majano. It almost looks like a psammocora. It appears to have a skeleton.
 
I have a similar thing before and left uncheck grows unto your rock. At night it has thin long tentacle that will sting your corals that touched it. Remove it now before it starts growing. I forgot it’s name but it’s a family of aptasia.

If the rock is from the Caribbean there are a ton of LPS that hitch hike in. Brush or squirt some water at it and see if there is a skeleton.
