Hard to say. Could be stuff in the water sticking to it's slime coat.. could be ich. Just keep an eye on it

Looks like velvet. I just had a velvet outbreak and it looked just like that. I would get ready to set up a quarantine tank and stock up on meds.

That’s velvet or brook, early stage brook looks like velvet but that’s definitely velvet, IMO.

Remove and treat asap with copper or chloroquine phosphate in quarantine. Good luck

I agree. I'd lean Brook if you hadn't suddenly lost 4 other fish. Copper + metro will take care of both.

I had to remove all the rocks and lower the water in my 125g tank, I tried to do it with the rocks in the tank, but I was only able to catch my puffer. I filled (2) 18 gallon totes and (2) 5 gallon buckets with water and carefully removed the rocks and corals. It made it much easier.

I used a trap to catch mine when I was dealing with ich, but unfortunately with velvet you don’t have the luxury of time on your side...

Removing the rock/corals and most of your water into large brute containers, is probably the best option. A pain, but look at it this way.... sometimes doing a re-scape can be useful and often you end up liking it more than what you had before anyway!

I’m sorry for your troubles, this is unfortunately why having a QT protocol is so important these days. Even if it’s just observational.
