I used a trap to catch mine when I was dealing with ich, but unfortunately with velvet you don’t have the luxury of time on your side...
Removing the rock/corals and most of your water into large brute containers, is probably the best option. A pain, but look at it this way.... sometimes doing a re-scape can be useful and often you end up liking it more than what you had before anyway!
I’m sorry for your troubles, this is unfortunately why having a QT protocol is so important these days. Even if it’s just observational.
I've only caught 2 of 5 fish, both clowns. The last clown is hiding in the rocks. He came out last night for a short while. He looks normal at this point. Any ideas on how to catch him without tearing down all the live rock. I've set a trap, but all I have caught is a shrimp.
I do believe it is velvet - but it now has been over 1 week since first death - why are these fish still alive? Or do some just live?
