I have a Chromis fish in my 20 gallon tank. I saw a YouTube video saying that Chromis fish have to be in uneven groups, and that one alone will die. Your thoughts. thanks all

Nah… they school in the wild but in our artificial reefs it’s not uncommon for them to pick on each other leading to some of them dying.

he will be really happy to not have to deal with that drama.

Had two separate tanks over the years where only one worked in each tank. Definitely preferred one!

First fish I bought nearly 2 years ago, 9 of them, still got 9 fed once a day, 220g lots of rock
I have a group of 5 green and 3 orange lines in my 75 gallon, haven't lost a single one or had any fighting. I feed mine 4-5x daily though.

That's garbage information. One will do just fine provided you care for him like any other fish.

I’ve had my one blue green chromis for almost a year now. He’s friends with my springer damsel
