Can someone check my work quickly?

I just float everything and drop them in. 2 to 3 car ride. I can't get anything local that I trust. My lfs are terrible
Yeah this is what I'll do. Shipment is arriving a bit late but is out for delivery now. So will just temp acclimate then check salinity and drop in

15 minute float should be fine.
Roger that yall making this so much easier on me haha. I seriously hate drip it gets way to cold in my neck of the woods to properly drip and I never have enough bag water to get even my 50 watt eheim in the container

Oof bag had a leak during shipment of course the leather coral is full but the urchin bag barely had anything left in it... I'll never order online again haha only lfs form here. 3rd time I've gotten a burst bag from other coral stores too!

He's floating now for another 5 mins then he's going in. Barely any water to work with

Well if its still wet there's hope
Got it in the tank besides being a tad bit bigger than I expected it seems to already be munkchin algae and movin around. There was only one spine in the excess water from. The bag so that was a plus.

Ty everyone for all the info!

You very welcome. It should do well.

Urchin is really lively and even up the tank wall now but I did notice a few spines in the sand bed. Is it done for or is that just normal stress? Do they molt when in New tanks like shrimp?

Pic for reference

I know its blurry hard to take an angled Pic at the sand bed lights out.

The stuff that looks like. Long rice grains are spine I can quick count about 13 of them .

Other than the spines in the bed it looks like it's going to town on the glass wall. So seems like stress to me but I've been shocked by the hobby before

I know it's already been done. But I check salinity of my tank and their bag. I knew the shipment was coming so I got a few gallons of tank water in a five gallon bucket with a heater up to temp prior to arrival. Then I float the bag in the bucket, add tank water a 6oz cup every 5 to 10 minutes til salinity is .001 or same. Then fish or object goes into tank without any of the shipping water going with it.

Seems like the general concensus. I'm going to float it for 30 mins and then check salinity and drop it in like snails if salinity is close. I got it from wwc so the only diff between my tank and their stated params is my trates are way lower than 30ppm haha
I would just double check salinity bc sometimes things happen but beyond that you're set! Enjoy your new critters!
