I noticed this in my tank when my fish were crowding around it. This GSP frag hasnt really ever opened up all the way. After I saw this monster hanging out of it I havent seen the GSP open at all. I posted a video on my facebook and instagram but couldnt get a solid answer. Someone suggested its a harmless Pineapple Sponge.

Definitely need a better shot. Closer grasshopper, closer. It is not a pineapple sponge, that much I can say for certain.

Closer and add a little white

I was trying to upload a video. It hasnt been out since i first saw it. If you dont mind looking at my latest instagram post you can see a close up video Stu_tanks

Checked out the video. I'm stumped. Was thinking initially a tunicate of some sort but that's not it, I don't think it is at least.. Researching... #reefsquad

Is that like a shell on top? Looks something like a gooseneck barnacle.
It did look like a shell on top and had a big mouth it’s weird because I have no idea where it is now. My GSP frag it was on has been closed up for a few days now.

Well the good news is that you've found something that keeps GSP under control...lol

Is it possible that it burrows under the GSP mat? If not, check under your bed
I pulled the plug out and looked closely but didn’t see anything. So weird!

Look like tunicate.
