Can someone please help me with my GSP!

Lets see:

SPS require heaps of Trace Elements, they need perfect water quality.

Inverts are:

Snails
Crabs
Shrimp (Only get Cleaner, Fire, Peppermint Shrimp have a risk depending on the species.)
Sea Stars
Corals
And More.

Hey so do you think the water is too clean for it? It’s weird because in the beginning when I first started reefing I was over feeding and my nitrates were off the charts I think they were 50ppm. And the GSP was thriving but now with the pristine clean water and running this refugium is the water too clean for it? I’m starting to think I might need to try some SPS
Probably yes, but personally I wouldn’t go down the high nutrient route or you will have other issues

You can try SPS yes, if you can maintain stable water parameters. I’ve had them in my new big tank from the start and their thriving without any issues

Keep your phosphate locked down and nitrates were they are

I've had this issue with gsp, where it wouldn't open for a week or so, then suddenly, it was back to normal. I'd read somewhere that this is sometimes par for the course with this coral. Give it a few days and see while you are checking other possible issues. But mine did it several times.
