I have sensitive skin and sometimes mine get red and rough too. (especially in the winter, when they are already dry) I try to wear gloves, not just to protect my skin, but also to keep stuff out of the tank water like hand lotion I might have put on earlier in the day etc.
Can these go together..

Octopus will kill that clown super fast, they are intense predators. Plus they are incredibly smart, if there is a way out of that tank, they will find it, if there is not a way out of the tank, they still might get out somehow. I would say no on the octopus, they are supposed to be very hard to keep, very interesting though, I also want one but am not ready yet. If you haven't heard about it, may I suggest reading up on the cuttlefish, again not to actually keep, most octopus enthusiasts, like myself, find them interesting

Synthetic saltwater is itchy just wash your hands with clean water good after you been n your tank. I actually put lotion on my arm every night before I go to sleep. It kinda dry out your skin
