Candy Apple Oranges??

heres my candy apple red high up the tank in a frag rack...
then i put it low bottom of tank..went a little pale color...

I agreed. People just label them Candy Apple Orange because they just want to jack up more dollars. Lighting is the main thing in zoanthids. :bigsmile:

I am going to tell you all a little secret. Candy Apple Reds morph to Candy Apple Orange and the rainbow when under high light. Trust me on this. :)
 
I'll post an update when mine color up some more. They faded drastically when I fragged them, and the red/orange color almost disappeared. This was over two weeks ago and they are just now starting to look like they originally did.
 
Just curious..but if CAR's and CAO's are both CAR's...then why do my CAO's and CAR's (which are sitting right next to each other, both from separate colonies, in both display and frag tank, one under T5 and one under Halide) remain a very distinguishable Orange or Red...and their babies respectively?
