Hey everyone ,

found this forum via another forum and figured why not.

I’ll be documenting my build here and hopefully we can all enjoy together.
This will be a SLOW project, it is tertiary at the moment as my primary project is an overland vehicle build. So I apologize for the slow updates etc. I picked up my primary powerhead and some other swag and goodies over the weekend at ReefStock. So here we go

To start -

SR Aquaristik rimless low iron glass
(100cm x 40cm x 40cm)
Maxspect Jump gyre 2k

Got some basic goodies in the mail today. Refractometer, magnetic speed tester and extra vials.

Picking up lights today. Since this tank is 100cm long I had a few weird options, however decided on a MicMol AA-900. I’ve had great success with their products in the past, they use high quality chips, and at 40cm high with substrate and rock work 72w should allow me to keep dang near anything. Will post a pic when I grab the lights after work.

I’ve got the inlet and outlet being delivered tomorrow, will also be grabbing some plumbing supplies from hardware store. I decided to go with SR Aquaristik Lily glass inlet and outlet pipe, more commonly seen in freshwater tanks. Pics to come.

Little snowy here today, working from home. But will head to hardware store after the gym to grab tubing, clamps, etc. also picking up lift springs for the overland build.

Ahh, a fellow Coloradan. I’ve been putting off going in to work because of the snow too.

We got two new foster puppies yesterday, so i didn’t end up making it out to the hardware store to get plumbing supplies. My lily inlet and outlet pipes did come in so I’ll hopefully have time to grab tubing and clamps etc and snap some pics. The snowstorm we were expected to get was more mild.
