Where are your favourite hiking spots captain? I'm looking for a new adventure... I just got back from some in Shenandoah NP.

Canyonlands NP, Arches NP, Rocky Mountain NP, Boulder Flat Irons, pretty much anywhere and everywhere. I camp/hike and overland a lot.
I’ll be up at Glacier NP for 4th of July, stoked for that.

Got the baffles in for the sump/fuge, but I'm working on site at the hospital today. will take pics/update once I get them glued in etc.

Haven’t had a chance to do anything to the tank. Busy making dinner. But in case anyone else here is a foodie.

No tank updates - took the weekend to hike etc.

What a beautiful spot! I can't wait for hiking this summer. We finally started getting some rain and that's on top of the thawing ground, so we'll be in mud season for another few weeks still.

Thanks, that’s in Rocky Mountain NP.
we are still getting snow days off and on here, more expected Monday. But it doesn’t really stick around for long in town.
I’m ready for summer for sure, the snows great but I’ve already been boarding 5 times and I’m tired of the cold lol.

Finally got time to work on the tank, finished at the gym and am now trying to do what I can. Got the vinyl applied to the back of the tank, got the gyre set up and controller mounted to wall, mounted secondary thermometer, and am working on the baffle kit for the sump/fuge.

Getting distracted with prepping for spring/summer. New pads for the Subaru rack, new paddle boards etc. I’ll get back to the tank in a few weeks.

Leak test and equipment check today. Will run for 24 hours before draining and picking up sand and rock. I’ve got about 50x turnover with the gyre and lily inlet and outlet.

FTS. Lol nothing noteworthy but I am so pleased with how “invisible” the Lily inlet and outlet are.
I did have to remove the vinyl to get the inlet to stick to the back, so I’ll have to find something different for that.

Very clean looking. I presume that the inlet and outlet will become more prominent early in the first year but will become as stealth as they are now in the years to come once encrusted in coralline algae.

Thanks Sean, yes I imagine they’ll dirty up quite nicely lol. But once covered should blend well. I’ve debated doing a background insert also but time will tell. I’ll likely also swap the gyre for an MP40 eventually to reduce the look as well.

3D backgrounds like you see in fresh water is the future of saltwater. Remember, you heard it hear first. You could add two or three more of those gyre pumps and still show as very clean looking. If you can put MP40 pumps on the back only then they basically disappear. I look forward to seeing what happens.
