I currently carbon dose with No3Po4x, and was considering changing over to GFO and Biopellet reactor... has anyone else made the shift? Thoughts?

Why do you want to?

I suspect that if you do it properly, and get the right amount dialed in, you wouldn't notice a difference, except that phosphate will be lower if you use GFO with either organic carbon method. :)

I'm hoping to achieve a low phosphate and nitrate system, and avoid the constant need to buy no3po4x... I'm currently running elevated alk to accelerate growth... been running all at 12.6 and calcium at 460... seems to be working... also setting up a 30 gallon tank attached to the system that will be my refugium... hoping it will be large enough to remove nutrients without any other processes

I Achieve low nutrients with a bag of chemi pure, large skimmer, and a refugium. I also have very little dead spots, open rockscape, and low bio load.
I was considering bio pellet reactor but after considering the fact that over time we reefers tend to get lazy with taking tests - not to mention measuring low range Nitrate and Phosphates is like looking for a Needle in a haystack lol.. My indicator of phosphate and nitrates is looking at the corals and algae growth.

there are many ways to be successful with nutrient export. Do what you feel is best for your tank based on how much time you have to perform these tasks.
