Cc24k Holy Grail Torch

That’s plants which are very different from corals which are actually marine animals and not terrestrial plants

yes I think the difference is a given haha.

I don’t know. I was just throwing it out there because I thought it was an interesting subject. I was also thinking since photosynthetic corals have a symbiotic relationship with algae, which is what produces the nice bright colours we see. Maybe the genetics of the algae could actually start drifting. I don’t know that it’s too far fetched.

just some wild theories I had lol.

I mean.... sure lol. I asked CC The price for a head too, but definitely wasn't expecting the 2200 a head either. What he say is partially true, I mean isn't this the same thing happening with acros? Where would you get a amazing RRU angrybird? There is no doubt that TSA will be your answer. It's just the wording.. very daring should I say lol.

you messed up and you would potentially be getting those fake Acro frag like what happened in the sales forum last year.

but not acknowledging others can grow your coral and selling at a more affordable price point is somewhat laughable.

@Eagle_Steve @Lost in the Sauce us cronies already have the 24kcc/Frankies version cooking up so no worries, frags will be shared ;)

I said this in a thread and then to Ben himself and got a lot of crap from him, but all of these torches came from the sea at one point and someone, somewhere colored them up.

This hobby is supposed to be fun and a way to make connections with people. In some cases this hobby turns into people's livelyhood and feelings get involved.

People do put a lot of effort, time, and money into what they love.

We each value what we fall in love with or care about differently.

At this point I think Frankies 24kcc has changed enough it deserves its own name.

I think CC needs to realize his days of monopolizing on this are over. Francisco grew a pretty impressive colony and has distributed multiple heads over the past few years, as have others who purchased from CC. Those people have grown colony’s and distributed heads to make up for their purchase price, and this will continue to happen. I think even more so, in that reefers are confident enough to flip that kind of coin on a single head with the desire to recoup their investment on a beautiful addition to their tank. It’s a great looking coral CC, thanks for keeping it alive and sharing with fellow reefers. But you can’t put a patent on it and say, if it didn’t come from you directly it’s not the same lineage. I can’t wait until my 2 heads turn into a colony, so I can help in sharing this gem. And I’m really not concerned about what generation of this piece I have. I bought from a reputable hobbyist and the colors and characteristics are spot on. This is just a part of our hobby, and it always has been and always will be.
It could be worse. There used to be a guy that had a certain clownfish he bred. He would threaten legal action against anyone else that would try and sell a clownfish with the same name even though they had bought from him and bred them.

I really don't remember. It was probably 10 years or more. It was back when all the non-normal looking clowns were finally starting to gain traction. Seems like it may have been over on RC.

Well this was a fun read. I've been to @francesco.mancini 's place several times (Best vodka pizza slice in America) and the torch is surely one of a kind. Have also seen his babies at 1st class when it was open to the public and it undoubtedly stood out in a tank full of high end torches as in a league of its own in terms of brightness. Obviously any coral can lose brightness in someone else's tank for a multitude of reasons. Trying to claim it's because it's not from the ancestral mother colony is religious nonsense.

Anyone who wants a head that’s close to NY hit me up I have heads for sale for pick up only I do not ship

I know this is an old thread but I got a chance to meet Francesco Mancini aka apizzaythereef. (Instagram) And let me tell you, his torches are amazing. I bought one from him and it looks amazing on my tank,

Long shot here, but i am looking to get a one head piece from someone who’s been able to grow from their earlier purchases. Just message me if there’s a piece you’re willing to sell, thanks!

No one gives information on where to buy, maybe you didn’t buy it yourself, or it’s a secret
