Hello Everyone:

I am testing 3 mayor China led brands. Don´t know if I can publish names here, but I can share results via PM if I can´t publish names if anyone is interested.

Ive been using a set for a year now. They run pretty good if you ask me.

Describe your testing-Im curious what all is involved.

In a sense I've been testing a certain brand for the last 3 years :)

I've had 6 total units. 5 units I run today. All at least 2 years of age.1 fail. Two of the plastic splash guards are hazed. The two with timers I have are awesome. All grow coral good and color good. From sps to zoas.

Hi, testing
- Lumini Aqua
- Ledzeal
- Sanrise

We did some research and they should be the top leds china brands. At least 4 channels and 8 timers (some have 6 channels and unlimited timers)
Testing Quality, Build, leds, controllers, etc. And of course sps grow (but sps grow will take a few months)

Unless you sell them, there's no reason you cannot list the names.

Thanks randy! not at all, I live in Chile, no sells :)

Mine are no names

Tested vers 250w Halides. Dimming up from 20% with corals, not to burn. Up to 80% on the Blues. Don't see any growth differnce in long term use vers Halides.
Hi, I have that lamp also, but the "improved" version (remote control) 2 channels 1 timer per channel. But those lamps are low-mid end lamps, they work but not for all corals.

The lamps that I am testing they supose to be as good as ET Radions and AI Hydra....will see ;)

As for the China LED conversation (all LEDs are made in China), this was from another forum from AI:

While I understand that you may have the perception that AI products are mass-produced, this comment and your general sentiment about AI couldn't be further from the truth.

My boss, the owner of AI, Chris Clough, literally built this company from scratch as a college student using his own skills designing and manufacturing circuit boards and mechanical components. Over the years the company has grown as a result of its success and we now have a fully staffed circuit board assembly line, CNC equipment, as well as general assembly lines. I have tremendous respect for Dave at Nanobox because he reminds me of my boss. These two companies are simply two American success stories at different stages in their growth. AI products are built right here in Iowa by a caring and thoughtful staff.

Take a look at this video before thinking things like we are staffed with people who "know very little about electronics." Every image in this video was taken from our USA facility in Ames, Iowa. I am quite proud of our company.

Good point! Hart!
Not all the lamps are made in China then :D

Can I ask which ones you would recommend? I'm looking to up my lighting on my 6 gallon jbj

I have reefbreeders and now an AI Hydra 26 and from what I've seen the Hydra seem to grow the corals better for me. My 2 cents without going into to much detail. I really like the video but I was sold before I watched it and the warranty service I can't say enough about it AI really takes care of there customers.

This lights are now the typical Chineese led reef lighs, they are the top china brands. We will see if the performance is ok. Recently I discover in other forum post that one of this, has a very good 2 year review, but the other 2 I couldn´t find anything, so I will try to give my impressions in all 3.
