YOu should get BRS pukani your tank would be full to the top with 100 pounds

It's been a while since I had any significant upgrades. The tank has been running for a while. We're not going to talk about the fish disaster that claimed all of them with ich. On the other hand a have 3 sps that are doing pretty well and slowly growing. I finally got my gyre 130. At tank and ato setup. Here are some updates pics. I also got new light brackets. The recommended 6 inch ones were not to my liking so I got the 12".

Well this is still an evolving thing and yeah I’m still plucking away at it . I’ve have been having success with the softies in my tank since they aren’t so demanding, but the darn sps kick my butt I get a few weeks to maybe 2 months out of them. Then the inevitable bleaching and death begin. The only thin I can figure is my phosphates just won’t stay low enough. I’ve used a cpr hob fuge. Gfo reactor. Phosphate rx etc etc. so finally I’ve decided to plumb in a real refugium. With all the talk of triton systems and The revival of refugiums I decided well let’s do this. Sadly to do this I had to re plumb everything and build a stand that raised the fuge above the sump to drain back into it . So I split one drain with a t to go to the fuge and the other part back to the sump. itook my 10 gallon hospital tank drilled it added a bulk fitting and away I went!!! Btw that tank has been running 2 years with nothing in it so why not use it for something good. It was a lot of work from start to finish but I tell you what, watching that tank fill up and have a nice flow go through it was pretty awesome. Did I mention that I had to go buy a second 10 gallon tank and drill that one and replace the one I started with. Yeah ehh hem someone leaned a little too hard on a piece of pvc from that bulkhead and crack d the tank while they were fitting the plumbing. Lol anyway long story short I removed the hob fuge took my chaeto and light from the cpr and added it to its new home. It’s been running since Sunday and so far so good. Only thing I’m going to change is the light and add a kessil h80 for growth. I’m going to attach some pix.

And I finally got the kessil h80 instilled 4 days ago. Let the nutrient export begin!! Hopefully it will keep those phosphates really low and stable.
