Chrissy's RSM 250

Right now I'm trying to decide whether to frag the hot pink mille or the green/purple/yellow/blue acro because they're almost touching. They don't seem to be bothering each other, though.

Here's a question for you ..

I thought the Red Sea tanks don't have separate timers for different bulbs. How long do you run the t5s for, and which bulbs do you use!?

I'd leave them be until you see some aggression.

Thanks, I think I'll try that. :)

They don't have separate switches or timers. I run them for 10 hrs a day and I have 2 ATI coral plus, 2 ATI blue plus, 1 aquablue special, and 1 purple plus in there.

Wow! That's a lot of light!

How often do u do water changes? And how many % each time?
Also do u do it on a schedule or only when nutrients build up?

Great pic btw. The glass is soo clean!

Thanks! I usually do them once a week between 15-20 gallons.

Chrissy may I move in with you so I can drool over your tank in person?

LOL I love it, keep the pic's coming!

Haha, sure come on over...the 4 kids might scare ya away, though!

Not too many new pics recently because I'm ticked about getting monti eating nudis and losing my cap combo. I replaced it with the big red/ green-blue chalice, but I miss my caps. I'll try again when I know the little *******s are gone for sure. I am also dealing with a sick Bubba...He started swimming funny and then it looked like something was nipping his tail, then he got tail rot and lost his tail. I finally got him out and into a hospital tank and have been treating him. He is eating again, but his tail is still gone :(

Acros out of the water...

Looking good Christy, have you gotten rid of the Nudi's? If so I've got a few caps that I'll give you if you pay shipping.

Poor guy. Hopefully he pulls through for you.
I hope so too. He's been eating a little more each day, so I hope that's a good sign.

Thank you, that's so nice of you! I haven't seen any in a while...I have a candy hogfish and a melanurus wrasse in there that eat them, and the digis and setosa are doing ok, but I still want to wait a while longer to make sure. They just kept mutiplying like crazy on the caps. I started by dipping the whole thing in Bayer at least once a week, then breaking it all apart, scrubbing, QT and dipping and they would always pop back up, so I gave up.

Hi Chrissy, how is Bubba doing? Have you put any monti caps back in? Would love to see a few more pics please.

Sorry for the absence! How did you lobo turn out Mr. D? Sahin, Bubba tried to fight it, I got him eating again, and then he went downhill when I tried adding melafix to the tank. I did water changes after, but he died. :( I had an alk issue and lost a bunch of my big sps, so things haven't been the best, but they're turning around. I still haven't added any more caps, but I don't think they're in there anymore.
Some new pics for ya...

First off let me say you have one great looking tank. I wanted to make sure I read it correctly that you do a 15-20 gallon water change every week and not 15-20 percent.
Thanks

Your tank looks gorgeous!!

Thanks guys :D mtk, yes that's 15-20 gallons. I drain enough out to fill 3-4 five gallon buckets. Although, sometimes I go 2 weeks without a change because I get lazy or lose track of days.

Thanks for the update and sorry about the losses. Hope all goes well from here. :)
