Chromis disease?

One last question... Is this a futile effort? Will these 3 Chromis be plagued with this forever?
Ok, I know, that was 2 last questions:)

Again I appreciate all the help and advice. This truly is a great forum, with caring people.

I'm not gonna lie, uronema can be a very difficult disease to treat. I've successfully used CP to treat chromis with active infections, added them to my DT and all was good. Back in the day I used formalin baths to treat it but sometimes the disease would return. In hindsight, I should have spent more time experimenting with metronidazole, but CP seemed to clear it so easily and that made me lazy. :p But I know metro works because some LFS and one public aquarium I advise use that drug to treat all incoming damsels who show symptoms. The public aquarium then places those fish in a large display and they all look fine.

Glad you are liking our little slice of heaven. ;) We have an amazing team in the fish disease forum: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/best-of-the-best.314359/

Is there any documentation as to what fish are afflicted with this? I only have a male and female clown in my display. I really want the goby to make it into the display with them. The only other fish I would like would be a pair of pajamas.

The chromis were due to my daughter wanting blue fish. This was my responsible compromise over "Dory":)

It typically only afflicts members of the damsel family and sometimes clownfish (they are closely related). I've seen anthias get it too.

I will set up a second qt to put the goby in. Then I will continue to treat the chromis. The weird thing is that I have yet to lose a chromis after almost 3 weeks
