Just tested trident and Hanna again.

Hanna says 7.7
Trident 7.31?

Not sure what to believe.

I tested Hanna three times and were all 7.7

Im doing a 50g wc shortly

I'm so angry with myself right now :(

Don't beat yourself up, I would tend to believe the Hanna numbers. If so it's not a huge swing. If you have 2 part to dose with, make a small dose of alkalinity and then recheck your numbers a little later. Check calcium too.

I just did a 70g water change. Ph back at 8. Check alk tomorrow now. Fingers crossed.

Worst part is, I finally had just gotten my tank dialed back in, and sps were taking off again, and colouring up like crazy.

You added an acid to your tank, the pH drop is not surprising. It probably was buffered by your tank. That should have some effect on your alkalinity which would be the most likely reason for toxicity if any occurs . Watch your alkalinity closely for a few days, you may have to alter your normal dosing a little.
So as I sit at work, and look at fusion. My Alk is 8.6 now....not sure how much I should trust this trident right now. But I hope this isn't consider a drastic swing as I have a ton invested in coral...ugh.

Cal and mag both slightly up from yesterday too.

Need to check with Hanna when I get home
