So far....
The scarlet hermits have gone vertical, climbing the rocks a little bit. I pulled two of them out of a colony of AOG palys...but wasn't able to see if they were harming them. They have not even made it to the other side of the tank yet. They seem to stay out of their shells far enough to look around, but are pretty fearless and motionless.
The white legs are virtually immoble. None of them have moved any more than a foot. Pretty much, all I see of them is them out of the shell, but not moving anywhere... I'm a bit worried about them. The shells they were in were all astrea snail shells. The shells were all very clean and white, as if they had been bleached or something. I remember a while back, I bought some snails from a LFS that had shells like this. I think I bought 10-20, and within a couple days, the majority were dead. I wonder if some sellers are bleaching shells with critters in them, and it's similar to the cyanide fishing, in that it damages the livestock and can kill them in time.
The blue legs have all scattered and I can't tell them from the ones I had before either.
hopefully, these crabs just need some time to adjust to the tank or something.
