Ok guys im out of answers my lfs doesnt know what it is either, i have done everything and it keeps coming the only thing i can think of is the macro bacter i added when i started the tank did this. So for a little bit on the history i bought this tank and set it up 2 months ago i used dry rock and black live sand with natural sea water i was dosing 4 caps per day of microbacter7 as per the instructions i use live fish to cycle the tank 2 clowns and 2 cromis. About 2 weeks into the cycle I started getting clear slime everywhere its like a snot, it was like a film over all the glass rocks and sand, to this day im still getting it not as bad but i still have it. I have to change my filter socks daily since they get clogged due to it growing on them. My water parameters are perfect, 0 amonia, nitrates and nitrites ph is right where it should be alk and calcium is perfect i have been running red sea carbon for the past week and i just put chemi pure elite in it today to see if it helps. i have bought all the red sea test kits as well as have my water tested by 3 lfs and its always great in the sense that it shows no issues. i dont have and of those scent sprayer in my house and my wife knows not to get near my tank with any of her sprays. some one please help its driving me crazy and i dont want to have to tear down the whole tank to get rid of this

Sound bacterial, do you do any carbon dosing? Like NO3PO4X, vinegar, vodka, biopellets?

I get this when I increase my carbon dosing (vodka), so I believe it's bacterial. Generally after a week or so once the tank is used to the new dose, it will subside. I do use power heads to blast the rocks frequently to help it release into the water column so it can head down to the skimmer. This seems to help as well.

IMO it's probably something environmental in your home. It could be something you wouldn't even consider to be an issue. Air freshener, cologne, lotion, carpet cleaner, nicotine/tobacco smoke, etc. Anything on your body when working in the tank, or anything floating in your air could be a factor. Just my $0.02 :)

its a bacterial bloom. Don't add anything else and don't do anything. itll be fine.

Oh dont vape near the tank esp the big clouds. Nicotine is a poison and the rest is sugar. (organic Carbon)

Yup, sounds like you are incidentally carbon dosing. That slim is bacteria. Add some carbon also.

Well guys i think i figured out what the issue was its dead bacteria due to soap residue from me either working on my tank after getting out of the shower or washing my hands with soap

There are lots of natural organics in reef tank water, so if you get an unsightly, uncolored bacteria, it is probably feeding on them.

Possible options include reducing organics (GAC, skimming, Purigen, etc.), antibiotics, manual removal, addition of less unappealing bacteria to compete with them, and possibly a UV to reduce the bacteria spread.

So how did you get rid of it once you found the source. Manual removal and went away on its own or did you use any products?

The main display was taken care of by my magnificent foxface that i purchased a week ago and the sump i manually clean i still have some on my sand but that will be taken care of when i clean the tank this weekend
