I used that Calcium Carbonate the other day, I did not get the results with it that I was expecting. But others swear by it.

I dont think that it will make your water clearer if it is a bacterial bloom, but that is just me. I did not experience any negative side effects from the use, so it may be worth a shot if you wanted to try it.
I have the rox 0.8 carbon coming from brs. I'm going to try that
Have you used it?

Do you have a pic of the tank? Running your skimmer a bit wetter may help. UV sterilizer will completely clarify it. Usually cloudy means either very fine particulate but most often bacteria
Not sure if this helps.

I believe UV is ok if you have a relatively new tank with a low bioload whether it be corals and fish or just fish. But if you have a mature tank with a good population of growing SPS or LPS colonies I believe UV would do more harm than good by killing a lot of good stuff in the water, beneficial bacteria, pods, etc that would otherwise benefit the tank.
That doesn’t sound right, why would a UV not be good for a mature tank but be good for a new tank that isn’t mature? Surely if anything it would be the reverse…tho I believe a UV is good for either.
