and OTE="steve&mari, post: 2695395, member: 14910"]It's not my special area of knowledge but I believe it's parasite and prazi is the treatment. @Humblefish @melypr1985 hopefully they'll chime in and give a detailed answer and information.[/QUOTE]Thank you so much

If parasite Prazipro can be added directly to your DT, be sure to turn off skimmer if you have 1. Have successfully done myself. Need to include sump volume (if you have 1) when calculating dosage.

Just to confirm, when you did the FW dip you didn't see any white specks come off the fish?

My black ice clown also has a sunken belly were be for he was fat like really really fat

No nothing came off I did it for 2 minutes

Unfortunately 2 minutes is not long enough to confirm flukes. It can take 3-4 mins for them to dislodge and start coming out of the fish.

This suggests an internal parasite is in play. Do you see any white stringy poop coming out of him? That is another symptom.

Yes and

Yes and out of my new clown aswell but not out of my other fish just my clown fish

Get Prazipro, this stuff works fairly quickly.

+1 And it is reef safe. If prazi doesn't work, you might need to soak his food in metronidazole. But this is usually only needed for prazi resistant strains of intestinal worms, which are rare.

I was at work today and missed out! looks like you guys have it handled. Good luck with your clown! Let us know how it goes. :)

I have two tips/advice

1. Dont panic if it shows up!! It's gunna be ok
2. This should really be #1.... QT everything so you dont get it in your DT.

Check out sticky in this forum titled "understanding ich" and that will give you a good head start and understanding of it before you encounter it. Be sure to ask any questions it leaves you with and we are more than happy to answer them. :)

Just an update I have bought the prazi pro ill will keep y'all posted sadly my black ice has passed away

Sorry for your loss. Keep a close eye on your other fish, as it's unusual for a fish to die from internal parasites (so long as the fish is well fed.) I know a lady who had a clownfish with intestinal worms for 9 years before she finally got around to treating it.
