Need help! Clown is not looking good. Not sure what to do!

Swimming oddly and getting white film on fins.

Ugh, following the story from your other thread on this. Was this happening before those new fish were added recently?

Hard to tell from your picture, but clownfish are susceptible to brook, although I think that usually starts with the gills and spreads from there. You can check out more info here, and see if it might be that: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/brooklynella.247938/

Blah! This is not fun anymore!!!

Got him in a breeder box. He was fine before the move. This Morning I noticed the white patches. On his two fins and tail

Going to try a fresh water dip. Never done this before....reading online quickly. Fingers crossed

He’s already pretty in distress. I’m worried this might put him over the edge

Well he didn’t make it. He was already gone before I even got to the freshwater dip

Should I be worried about my other fish? The other clown is showing no signs of it

If (key word) it is a bacterial infection - I wouldn't worry (except watching). If it was something else (doesnt seem that way) - yes....

Those next pictures where the fins are deteriorating look more like something bacterial. This fish looked and acted fine just a day ago?

Yes he was fine yesterday before I moved him. Moved him and this morning he looked like that.

Wow. I'm so sorry. How does everyone else look?

Your clown went fast. I'm not great at this, but I'd keep an eye on the others for sure.

Looked like brooklynella

That's what I thought at first, especially since it is a clown. But it looks less like mucus sloughing off, and more like bacterial, look at the fins? It happened fast, maybe gram negative? No other tank mates are affected, and there are only a couple of other docile fish (aside from another clown) in the tank.

What is missing from the start of this thread, but you can find in another thread by the same OP, is that he moved his tank in the last day or so, and also had someone add two new fish, unbeknownst to him, from a Petco that he hasn't checked out. Plus he's leaving town in three days, and whatever is brewing has the potential to really escalate while he is away.

So, what to do now? I can think of lots of options, but it should start with a better diagnosis of what is going on ...

Appreciate your inputs. Unfortunately I’m in the sit and wait period. Everything seems “okay” for now. Not sure what else to do. I did just move my
Tank and had 2 new fish added (not my plan!)

I’ve never been so stressed. It’s really taking the joy out of the hobby right now. I’m hating this.

Looks like brook and infection. I’d source nitrofuracin green if you can quickly, in the meantime Kanaplex, metroplex, and furan 2 in quarantine should treat it as well. You could just use these things for 10-14 days but with an infection like that NFG would be better.
