Clown In trouble

Looked like brooklynella
It does not look that that to me. It looks like and injury (of some kind) and a bacterial infection. There is no way to know - and I'm not questioning you. just saying what I think

It happened so fast. It was very hard to tell what it actually was. All other fish seem to be doing alright. So keeping my fingers crossed it was Just stressed induced (-as bad as that sounds). Going to miss that little guy. Had him since he was a little baby ;Drowning

Now that I see pics larger than my phone screen, Looks like a fish that was a victim of aggression and had fin damage and other damage followed by Stress

As bad as it might sound, guess I’d rather have that than some sort of disease or bacteria. However the white patches stood out to me. Some sort of disease or bacteria. And it all happened sooo fast

It did happen fast, and since it was not one of your new fish, it just seems odd that this is the only one that showed symptoms. Did you notice any of the other fish going after this one? I think the only suspects on your list would be the other clown, the royal gramma, or the orchid dottyback. Maybe since they were all put into a new tank together yesterday, there was some aggression and this guy was the target. Hard to tell from the pictures, but I supposed It is possible that the white patches weren't an infection, but the slime coat coming off where it had been attacked.

If it was aggression, the aggressor is still in there. Any signs of that?

So I put both clowns in a 5gallon bucket to transport. All of fish were in bags. Probably a dumb choice but I was stressed and was making bad decisions at that point. Wonder if the clowns got after it.

Funny you mention that cause the other clown has some tail fin nicks almost. It’s healthy otherwise. Wonder if they just didn’t handle the stress well together...dang I hate the feeling that I might have been able to avoid all this. That’s the most stressful part is that with this hobby, 95% of it is our own doing I feel like

Keep an eye out for any aggression, could still be going on ...

Will do! Fish are still pretty skiddish but I fed twice today. Fisrt time no fish came out. Second time started to see some of the crew. Brought a little smile to my face haha!

I think I'm going through the same thing. I have had them for 2 months with no problems. Both clowns fine yesterday. Today on the brink of death. I was just reading about Chloroquine phosphate on this thread:
Sounds like a dream medication. Thankfully I can write prescriptions myself. I think it will be too late for my clowns but I will get this to treat the other fish just in case.

Agree, I'm heartbroken :((((

Mine survived the freshwater dip but as I don't have another heater or aerator I had to put them back in the main tank.
