Ohh... I saw a shirt that went with that earlier.... Wonder if I should get it for my clown fish... I'll dress them up like people dress their dogs up. That's healthy, right?




Earlier, while I was watching for poop, a friend called. She asked what I was doing and I told her, without thinking, "Trying to see what my fishes' poop look like." There was a 3-4 second pause. I was going to ask if she was still there, until she burst out laughing. I'm apparently her craziest friend... Let's be honest, she must set the bar kind of low for crazy friends.

How much food do you put in per batch? I kind of guesstimated.

So it's weird to talk about fish poop - I feel like I have an infant again - but how does normal poop come out for clown fish? Like is it a string or is it fast? She may have pooped some brown poop this afternoon, but it came out fast and didn't stay attached at all. I wasn't sure if it actually came from her or was just junk floating in the water. I have still not seen the smaller fish poop. I guess he's more conservative and discrete.

The food would be about a tablespoon, I don’t measure it... I just throw 2-3 cubes in a container, sprinkle the med and focus on top, add a few drops of vita-chem for good measure, and then just let it soak/thaw for 30 minutes or so.

Poop can be white, or stringy, but not white and stringy... if that makes sense.

So I know this is asked all that time, so thank you in advance for being patient with me. I have two clowns in QT getting ready for the DT. One has with white stringy poop (the darker one). I have yet to catch the other one poop. They are eating fine and look amazing other than the poop. I have been dosing with PraziPro. I don't have a picture of them pooping, but when if I catch them in the act, I'll add.

I have been soaking their food (Frozen LFS mysis) in garlic and VitaChem. I'm going to get some Metrapro or general cure (whichever I find at the LFS) to put on their food as well.

Should I be soaking the food in prazipro too? Do I still need to add focus to the food even though they're in a QT tank?

About how long should I expect it to take for the Prazipro/Metropro to cure the parasites?

So, sometimes it's just the food you're feeding them. But it sometimes can show that they have internal parasites. Metro can take care of them. Other people have different ideas about it too.
