Clownfish Anemone Tank! Nemo Found!

I'm not sure that's a good question. I will ask the breeder.

I am confused...do you mean it is a bad question? If so I didn't mean to offend anyone. Sorry.

And is your breeder local to you? I am in Boise, ID and always looking for some nice clowns and Portland is not too far for shipping.

No he was saying it was a good question. :)

Kim I am jealous of those Nems!! Got any for sale?

I am also setting up a similar type tank. :)

LOL sorry Brannock, the importance of punctuation. I was saying that was a very good question and I was not sure of the answer. :). Yes the breeder is local. He is in Vancouver, Washington. He's an awesome guy and seeing his breeding facility known as the clownhouse is well worth a drive from Boise. His prices are very reasonable and he is very knowledgable. Matt Pedersen has featured him in some of his talks.

I can't wait to see your clownfish set up Rev. Thanks for the compliment. I don't have any nems for sale. I'm actually going to get more from a fellow reefer this weekend. I think he has quite a few so if you are interested I can see about prices and how many he has.

Yes please do! I love the color of yours!

Oh ok. Thanks for the clarification. Does your breeder have a website or contact information that I can use to get in touch with him? PM me with the details if you are able to.

New additions!

Picked up some anemones from a fellow reefer. I did a little zoa trading today to give the clownfish some more "homes" I also stopped by the LFS and picked up two more:bigsmile:

You can see all the clownfish crowded into one anemone. Hopefully they will spread out into the new ones and hopefully the anemones will stay put but anemones have a mind of their own

I almost left this gem behind from the LFS but I had to get this one too!

wow. awesome nems. and they look big too. all of mine are less than 5". :(

Yeah they are pretty big. I tried to beg my friend to give me another big one. He was reluctant to give me the one but I said "Do it for the clownfish" :) He gave me 3 smaller ones that I'm hoping will grow!

Do you have to put a foam cover over your power heads? I love nems to, but hate having to put the foam netting on the powerheads. where can you find these coverings?

I took out one of the vortechs and am just using the flow from the main pump. This was my sps tank so it had a lot of flow. I'm letting the nems settle in before I consider adding back the powerheads.

Smart move Kim:nerd: that's exactly what I did with mine, very nice nems:smile:

Well just as I was posting the last pictures, I see that the clownfish have already found the new anemones! 1smile1

The Platinum clown is definitely the most dominant and can't decide which anemone she wants but doesn't want anyone else to have one until she chooses...
