Clownfish Anemone Tank! Nemo Found!

More pictures!

I was curious how the dynamics would change if I removed Bruiser. So I put her in the sump with her own anemone. She was very easy to catch. I was only going to keep her there for a day or two but she looks so happy just having her own anemone! :) I might just leave her there!

We got some VHO lights rigged up on a timer to make sure the anemone had enough lighing. Bruiser seems more happy and content and just hangs out in her own personal anemone so I may just let her stay here! :)

Now it looks like one of the black and whites is showing a little more dominance but nothing like Bruiser. There are still little "skirmishes" but overall everyone seems to be settling in well

Just for kicks I thought I would show the false and true percula that are getting along swimmingly in the biocube! They said it wouldn't last :) Sorry the picture is not great. I don't usually clean the glass on this tank much as it's hidden in the laundry room!

Find a smaller juvi for Bruiser. :)

Always good to read updates. Glad things are doing well. Do you feed your BTA's at all? If so, what and how often?

Marvin, do you think I should get a juvi for her. What do you think? I was thinking of putting the other platinum in her which is much less dominant and a little smaller but it's neat seeing the platinum and 2 picassos in one anemone. I don't directly feed the BTAS but once or twice a week I dump in a mixture of brine, cyclopeeze, oyster feast, reef chili and mysis. The one I had in the past that was faded I fed frozen scallops about once or twice a week.

as long as the other clown is smaller, you have a good chance of them pairing up. :)

it's awesome to have a breeder that has lotsa clowns to choose from.

Yes I know I'm very lucky and it is so much fun visiting his place the Clownhouse. He has a real passion for it and really cares about his fish!

New additions to the tanik!

Scored some more Maxi minis yesterday for the tank!I'm keeping them in the Maxi-Mini motel for now

This anemone moved again but the Picasso Platinum trio follow it wherever it goes. They don't let anyone else near this one

This RBTA is on the move again and this little black and white juvi is lucky enough to have this all to himself! I don't think it will last!

Here's a FTS to give you an idea of where the anemones have moved to!

Oh give me a home where the anemones roam

The anemones are still roaming around. The clowns are settling in nicely:

The Picasso/Platinum trio who I call the Socs(pronounced Soshiz, think Outsiders not footwear ;) ) lost their prized anemone as it decided to move into the rocks...:squigglemouth: But they decided to host the purple LTA!1smile1

Looking good Kim. When you say the BTA went to a rock... What does that mean? Just hiding?

That is truely amazing! That nem is huge! I can't wait till the wife and I start our clown/nem tank.

Thanks Phelps. I also got a pretty good deal on it!

Their favorite anemone moved from the bottom of the tank and through the rocks. The trio stayed with it for a day and didn't even come out to feed and then it moved to the back of the tank next to the purple LTA which is why I think they decided to check out the LTA.

That purple one looks photo shopped..jk. Looking forward to seeing the change over from sticks to nems tomorrow
