Clownfish-Body rot

Today I decided to add my clown back to my display tank after 21 days of QT. I felt that the level of healing was enough to consider it healthy.

I only used kanaplex but I did keep the tank medicated for the entirety of QT. I did. three rounds of kanaplex broadcast into the water for a total of 6 doses. 2 days In between each dose. In between broadcasting i fed medicated pellets using kanaplex and focus. Overall a pretty aggressive amount of kanaplex it seems but the fish never showed signs of stress so I kept it up.

Im so happy to see this progression and im really hoping he stays healthy in the display tank.

That’s so awesome it was able to make a recovery. It sure is a good thing you decided to try and help your fish instead of just murdering it and buying another based on some suggestions from others!

Good to see the infection was stopped!

So it looks like its anal fin is gone? Fish don't need those fins for locomotion. Can you tell if the anal opening is ahead of where the infection was?

Yeah its anal fin is basically completely gone. I can’t say 100% but i do believe the anal opening was unaffected by this infection. It never stopped pooping and when it did poop it looked like the anal opening was in front of the wound by a very small amount. The fact it never stopped eating gave me confidence that it could be brought back to health.
