Clownfish help!

I think I am @hyhy ... If there is then I will able to treat it.. If not then I'll have the tank for future fish... So I think it's a win win don't you think???
Nothing wet enters my dt without going through quarantine. Can save a lot of headaches if you can catch a pest or disease early and in a smaller system.

So I bought a 20 gallon from top fin (was actually on sale with filter and heater at petsmart lol) and I painted the back and both sides black since I read no reflection as some can be violent. Any tips on what else should I get. All I have is the aquarium with cheap light and the filter that it came with and a little heater.

A small powerhead and pvc for hiding.

Awesome thanks!! @Duke4Life
And nice quarantine @Humblefish ..
Also should I make brand new water for the quarantine... Honestly that doesn't seem right. I was thinking when I do water change (this weekend) get 10g of water from my DT and added to the quarantine and rest 10g freshly new water.. Would that be the best option.

Also quick question .. Off topic from clownfish.. I bought the coral life skimmer 65 (I thought it was good but honestly I hate it so I returned and I'm about to buy the reef octopus bh100) my main type of filtration right now is my live rock and water changes basically. When I try to siphon my sand bed cause it's kinda dirty, the siphon sucks the sand as well. Is there something I can do I can sort of clean it with out sucking the sand. I read your really try not to siphon the sand cause you'll suck the bacteria as well.

If the dt is infected then not a good idea, if not then yes it's ok. I use my dt for quarantine purposes all the time.

Might be dumb question but how would I know if it's infected?? My other clownfish seems perfectly healthy. She's swims all over and everytime I get to the aquarium and she rushes to me lol and follows me

Good flow will help detritus from accumulating.

Your other had possible ich? A fish may show no signs and still be a carrier. I'd quarantine them both together.

Okay I'll put them both.
So you think I should just make brand new water for the quarantine??? Or add just a bit from the DT so they won't stress to much.

What kind of sand? If its coarse enough you can vacuum with one of these:

Ich doesn't feed off of inverts. It will stay in your tank for a while, which is why we are going fallow in the DT. It will starve and die without fish to feed off of, then it will be gone. As long as you carefully QT every addition to the DT, you'll have the best chance at never having ich in your DT again. Oh and by that, I mean EVERYTHING.... corals, snails, shrimp- all of it. Daunting right? It doesn't have to be. A fishless frag tank is perfect for putting all inverts through QT, then a regular fish QT regimen will keep the fish clean and healthy. Anyway, I went off and starting talking your head off! lol
Out of curiosity, how do you QT you corals. I Usually only do a coral dip. What is the right process?

it can be done simpler.... like just a small tank, hob filter, heater, cheap t5 light, sand, rock and a rack... but I went with AIO for simplicity for myself.

I leave any new corals or inverts in here for 75 days before being introduced to the DT. There are NO fish in this tank. I also dip the coral before placing them in this tank.

So I got the quarantine tank.. How would you recommend for me to do the water?? Do I have to do it all brand new and fill up the tank or at least get 5 gallons from my DT and rest new water?? In still confused all this is new to me! sorry :/
