Clownfish sleeping in the corners or floating

Clowns without a host anemone usualy pick a corner or substitute host and stay fairly close to it IME. That could be a corner of the tank, a power head, overflow or random coral. I wouldn't sweat it.

Yes. All of my clownfish do that if they don't have something they want to host. It seems odd but that's how the goofs do.
 
Completely normal as all have stated. Once they have an anemone to host, they will sleep in it one way or another.

Tell that to my clowns. They have 4 nems and many other coral options but still choose to float like dead fish at night.
 
When my clowns go up into the corner, I know it's time to say nighty-night and turn off the lights. It's usually around 8:30 pm.
