CLOWNING arounddd

My clowns will eat almost anything, but I have had some fish that would love all frozen, but hated pellet, loved flake and some fish the other way around. Go figure. Each has their own preference. Maybe they will begin to adapt when bit older.

By the way, my percula pair were hilarious today. My female (larger - over 1.5yrs) and my male (baby - 8months) have been together now4 months. She was actually pushing him to the sand with her nose and steering him around. He then got up and followed her around again. Strange fish, but they are happy. Yours should establish female/male soon enough. By the pic they are the same size, so it could be a bit more duking it out for a while. :)
The one on the bottom with the bolder color is a bit bigger , picture doesn't do the size difference justice. They seem to be fine . When I got up for work I caught them sleeping together in sand in back of tank. I won't add anymore fish for a month or so. And besides they will go to quarantine first. I do really want a fire shrimp .

I want a flame angel as well but I'm not sure a tank just under 60 gallons will be suitable for it.

I love my fire shrimp (bloodred). I have had mine for almost 6 years. They are great! Just make sure to acclimate slowly.

I would not put a flame in a 60g, but then again, if you want coral you don't want a flame anyway. At least most will pick at coral. Not all. I am very conservative though.

I think many would put a flame in 60g without issues.

Like drip acclimate for 3 hours???? That's what I did with the clowns because the salinity difference went from 1.020-1.025!!!! Took 3 hours !

How big do fire shrimp get??

Mine is not that big. I would have thought after 6 years he would be, but maybe body is 2.5 inches? Yes, match the specific gravity very slowly.

Oh, mine hid in his special place in the rocks for like 4 years. Only saw him in evening moonlight. Now, since I did some rock work and almost 6 years, he is out most of the time in overhangs and such.
