Co2 scrubber stopped working

I wouldn't worry too much about it, just keep monitoring it. 7.8 isn't BAD it's just on the low side of GOOD.

You really have to wait overnight btw, it's about the trend, on mine my ph gets better by about .05 to .1 per cycle (day / night)

The other thing you can do is you can plug the input to your canister and see if your skimmer stops pulling as much air and begins to overflow, this will help tell you if you've got leak somewhere.

Had the same problem. Clean your skimmers impeller and motor, especially if you have chaeto. If it's a reef octopus skimmer throw it out and buy an Aquamaxx. That's what I did and the change was instantaneous.

Why would anybody throw out a RO skimmer?

I love my reef octopus! I have had it a few years now and it really pulls out a lot of gunk! And I actually cleaned it last week. I'm chalking this down to just too much co2 inside. Today bnb is supposed to hit 40 so I'm going to try opening some windows to flush it out. It has risen to 7.95 so I'm much happier with that although 8.2 would be better like it was before.

Did that wind up being the problem? Just too much CO2 in the house?
