Cobalt neo therm issues

Sounds like ur heaters are not calibrated right from the factory I always had great success with Eheim heaters I’ve heard those heaters are not that great
Idk i got them back in october and throught the months have slowly been dropping in temperature. I did the reset and for like 4 hrs it stood at 76 then started dropping again to 74.4

I’d get rid of the and get a Eheim 200 watt heater I had one on my 75 worked great

Just trash them and get new heaters, asap. Maybe try a different brand (such as Eheim Jager). If your heaters are already failing, it's def time to replace them. You're lucky they didn't fail in the on position. My neo therm did, cooked my tank, killed most of my coral...

Just a troubleshooting question... When you do a water change do you cut the power to the heaters to make sure they aren't running outside of being fully submerged?
Yes i turn the swtich off to where they are connected ( i dont have an apex yet ) havent done a water change in like 2 months due to a dino problem i had too.

Sucks too cause they are expensive, oh well better it cool off then heat my tank.

They are expensive pieces of junk I was going to get those byt did a lot of research on them I got Eheim instead

I didn’t get the apex I got the ghl controller a lot more options
Controllers just look so complicated to me but i wanna jump on the wagon, only issue is i dont have alot of room for placement and gonna have to find a way to put a small cabinet next to the tank since i have a typical marineland 75 gallon and i heard its not a good idea to put the controller next to the sump due to salt creep.

I still would get a ghl controller it comes with plenty of line for the sensors and a big power bar u love mine

Pick up an inexpensive Inkbird or bayite black box (I use one on my planted for 5 years now, and just now started hearing a bit of a relay chatter - not bad life span for $35 - dead easy to setup too). I would replace with BRS offered Inkbird probe either way.

I should update...my Inkbird stopped working at the 18 months point a ways back (but after the post above). No longer using these...I'd say you get what you pay for but that Bayite off of Amazon worked for 5 years. Maybe it's just a bad unit...maybe doesn't help me with all that money I have in my tank.

Bought a Ranco - should've to start I suppose.
