Well, new member with new build! Been long time follower of this great forum, and been researching a salty build for past few years but have just recently taken the plunge! So many great reefers on the forum with so many incredible ideas and builds....so happy to be part of the community.

So....on to the build. This will be a slow progression....I am incredibly Type A/OCD and need to tackle this in a very slow and staged manner.

Current Equipment List
- RSR 250 Deluxe in white with V3 Sump
- Nero 5 Pumps x 2
- Bubble Magus Curve 5 elite skimmer
- Red Sea Testing kit

Currently on order
- Apex EX
- Neptune ATK
- Cor 15 return pump
- Aquamax reactor
- RS screen top

Next to order
- RODI unit
- Heaters (want 2 cobalts for redundancy, just figuring out size)
- ATO reservoir (may build this myself)
- doser....not sure on this one yet

Currently building 2 custom cabinets to sit on either side of tank....these will watch the white doors that come on the RSR but will have brushed stainless grates on doors and open backs to provide some air circulation. Will be utilizing one cabinet for control centre and the other for dosing.....plan to have pull out drawer with custom dosing reservoirs

Plan is mixed reef with minimal aquascaping.....really love flowing tanks with lots of movement so a few hammers/torches on ether side with a BTA somewhere in the middle...perhaps a smaller zoa island somewhere.

I will try and upload some pics as I progress on the build....thanks everyone!

Well next steps.....first, let there be light!

Next got my new cabinets in place!!! Big thx to my old man who put these together for me....doors are still being painted and getting brushed stainless vents added....i have pull out lower drawer on the right one...plan to add doser on shelf then have dosing containers on the pull out shelf...cabinet on left will be for control center . Also added lighting inside main cabinet and mounted brush stainless grate to cover back panel of main cabinet.

Definitely a great start.

High quality equipment as well.

I may have missed but what doser will you be using?
Thanks for your comment.
Good question.....don't think I can justify Apex DOS at this time.....am steering towards Bubble Magus or kamoer......willing to take any suggestions! Plan is for 2 part plus mag

I haven't used any doser's yet, so i can't help you there.

And yeah I doubt I will ever have a dos, just much $$ for just two heads for this reefer. Perhaps used.

This is the doser I got. No app needed and you can mount it high in the cabinet because controller not incorporated to top of main unit, uses little independent control box on cord.
