I an looking at colored pic for a build and wondering if there is a difference? I know brs sells it, but I find okther sellers out there as well. Some "furniture grade" Is furniture grade better or worse?

Furniture grade looks nicer - smooth on the outside, no printing, etc. it can also be uv resistant.

I did notice that. Just making sure it will actually work and hold water, not just look pretty.

I just got some black PVC from BRS for my current build. No printing or anything. I think it looks good for pipe... It seems to be better quality than the white schedule 40 from the hardware store.

Where are you finding this at? Link please!

I dont want the white again, gonna try and make it classy this go around. I've also found places cheaper then brs though.

My issue with brs is they are dpuble the price. 9.99 for 58" compared to 4.75 for 60"

I can buy twice as much

I just used spray paint and if there are any pipes that are going to be exposed to water, I just didnt paint them since they arent going to be visible anyway. Cost me a total of $5 in paint and whatever sch 40 pipe costs at your local hardware store.

I used BRS red PVC on my current setup and white furniture grade PVC from Home Depot. The white was only available online and had to be shipped to the store.

"Furniture grade" just means that it's not pressure rated like Schedule 40 and 80 are and the composition is slightly different. That make no difference in our applications though. Aquarium specialty was considerably cheaper than BRS when I ordered it.

I used yellow furniture grade pvc from home depot, was really cheap compared to brs and free shipping. They have to call it furniture grade without the writing on it because it doesnt meet code otherwise to be called anything else.

In texas you can get a light purple color pipe that is designated for water that has been treated only for irrigation. Dark grey for electric conduit.

Looking through plumbing pics I notice a lot of 90 degree angles. When I started reefing 90's were frowned upon for their restriction.

Do people not care or have pumps become powerful enough to overcome that issue?
