Dosing ALK, CAL and MAG you can do that through dosers either stand alone or through a controller like a Neptune APEX.
IMO for your next step is try to understand the consumption of these three first and dose manually.
That can gives you some time to read up on what for possibilities you have out there, dosers, ATO with kalkwasser or Calsium Reactor (CaRx)

Hey, hope all is well. Still fighting No3's over 40. Returned the ChemiPure Elite and regular back to the sump, and added a Nitrate pad. That's all one week old, so I'm still waiting.
I'm still dosing Nopox, 20 ml/ day. Also, added Tigerpods and Bactiv8 NPX from 2 little fishes.
Just did WC 18%, and still haven't started using Kasswasser. All my levels are ok but No3's. I have mostly frags, and don't seem to have a high consumption of Ca now. I've been doing everything manually.
I'm thinking of Vinegar dosing to help with No3's.
And yes, I was thinking about the Apex controller and Ca reactor, but which reactor?
Should I stop Nopox, and start Vinegar dosing, or do both?
Do I need to run the tank water thru the Ca reactor? Or can I run the top off water thru the reactor to the sump?
And I think I need to get rid of my sand bed, any ideas?...
Striped Bass fishing here on LI is incredible. Fish from 25-46 lbs so far. Shark fishing is just off the beach, Jones Beach.
If you come up, we will go. Lots of whales 1/2 mile off the beach.

good deal just seeing how we were on test quality no prob. the magnesium I wouldn't concern, and even your nitrite isn't a big deal as long as no algae invasions are persisting. those are levels we could tune in time, carbon dosing alone matched to the need+ good skimming could do it, or the deep clean, either way we are dealing with two sources for your nitrate: current tank bioload, and unremoved waste stores. there must be nine different methods to find a nice balance among those, so with nitrate being the only real concern of posted params theres no real rush in my opinion. hook up an Algal turf scrubber, they're touted to cure everything in reefing, check out their algae scrubber threads they're huge.
Thanks, still fighting same issues, but I agree, algae scrubber seems the way to go.
