Congrats @Dana Riddle , thank you for all the wisdom and knowledge you provide us. The community is lucky to have you among us. My understanding about coral light requirements pretty much a direct derivative of your work, posts.

I want to thank everyone for your kind words. As many of you know, I've been researching lighting requirements of photosynthetic invertebrates for almost 3 decades and I have spent thousands of my own money on research instruments (Hmm... newer car or PAM fluorometer?) Often, when purchasing these instruments, I had to explain to the vendor that mine is a private lab and not associated with any university - I had to convince them to take my hard-earned dollars. Now, in my retirement years, I find that time to get into the lab is at a premium. Amazing how busy my golden years are. In any case, I am indeed humbled by this award. Now for a teaser - I am involved in a 'black hole' project that might - just might - answer many of our questions (the non-disclosure agreement doesn't allow me to say any more.)
