Any tips or suggestions are appreciated. I've never been real happy with my scaping on any of my tanks... Thanks.

:doubt:

Becareful !!!! Cracked glass from accidentally dipping rocks , plus moving that stuff is going to stir up some detritus. Some people use reef safe epoxy and some people drill their rocks and add acrylic dowels for support

yes.. have alot of water on hand in case you stir up.. too much detritus

Cool, thanks... I've never been real good at this... Probably gonna do it next Saturday, gotta get a plan in mind. I just don't feel like there is enough ledges and stuff, want more open swimming room and more open sand for one of my new faves, chalices!

Literally you are only limited by your imagination and gravity here's some old aquascapes I had nothing impressive at all but just browse through other members tank threads find what u like brs tv on YouTube had some pretty good tips too. I couldn't find old pictures but here's the newest one sorry for cloudy water I had just set the thing up.

Reefer you've got a lot of swim through types holes there, looks good. What size tank? What are you planning with it?

That's a 40 breeder and all of that is with out rods or epoxy , that was me getting yelled at to get the tub of stinky rock out of the kitchen. It's holding really well sturdy too

Here is the aquascape on the biocube.

Maybe I should lower the amount of rock. Some say more is better and others think less rock is better. I understand some on both sides. What does everyone here think?

More is better as far as biological filtration, but for aquascaping, you can scape it for the anticipation of growth of corals. Most folks that you see with less rock in their display have more rock in the sump.

I am sumpless... If i had a different stand I have an extra 10 gallon I could make into one. I tend to agree more is better for the filtration and I also agree when the other side says that you get better air movement and less dietrus build up.

Here is another tip that I learned recently scape the tank dry just stack the rocks how you want them , then add the water back. In my scraping this seems to be the method that hasn't collapse due to crazy turbos or crazy crabs , btw I have a stand for a 20l sitting in a storage unit. Idk what dimensions your tank is but if your in a shoot me a pm

Its gonna have to be done wet, tank is already set up.... The tank measures 18' tall, 12' deep, 30' wide.

I did my 40gal rescape. I put my rocks in a tub of water to keep em wet and just work carefully to not stir up to much detritus.

Did this with no epoxy just stacking

Looks good Mike... Think I'm gonna try to accomplish the "amphitheater"aquascape it might be tough with such a swallow tank...
