Just looking for some kind of unique, or just fun idea for a ten gallon. Thanks!

I always thought a small tank with a single decent size coral would be cool. Like a giant birdsnest/hammer/duncan colony being the centrepiece, then maybe just a shrimp goby pair or something as the stocking would be super cool.

What’s the best live rock for cool pests and other critters?

Yeah, i think a completely bare tank with no hard scape except for pocillapora or birds nest would be pretty cool, making a sort of jungle.

Exactly what i was thinking, even a digi monti could be cool, no rock in the tank besides the coral itself

Instead of copepod, I'd do a rotifer culture and start a phyto culture as well. Then you can have babies.

Or RFA tank. Get 6-10 and you'll have lots of babies in no time.

A rfa tank sounds cool, and so does a copepod/ rotifer tank, but I do have a Refugium, and I do plan on starting a white worm culture, so a culture of live food isn’t a priority for me.

What I'd do is add sand, add live rock like this, and let an ecosystem develop. Would be an interesting, different experience where rather than purposefully trying to grow anything, you just keep your parameters a certain way, and see how from these starter live rock that may have plenty of life, things progress.

For once you get to just watch and observe life.

I also do bonsai as a hobby (this is why I'm broke) and I've currently got a plan for a 10 gallon mangrove bonsai with a silty sandy substrate and a micro ecosystem. I've got some mangroves growing out right now and aging a bit before I transplant them into active tanks, but the tree itself is the main artistic draw rather than coral or fish

A hat? Pretend you’re a Minecraft astronaut.

Make yourself a giant “fish bowl” tropical drink.

Use it as a planter to grow herbs!

Smash it and use the glass to create a mosiac representing man’s existential need to both control the world around him while still believing in the intangible existance of destiny.

Use a large heater and a power head to make a small hot tub for your feet or hands

Use it to store your button collection. Don’t have a button collection? Start a button collection!

Shot glass

Put fish in it.
