If you can't buy live black worms you can buy a starter culture of live white worms and grow them yourself in potting soil and feed them cat food or bread crusts or whatever.

Frozen food still has nutrients but fresh it still nice to have and @Paul B would probably tell you that you want the bacteria in the live food.
Do white worms provide the same as black worms? Also if a copperband mysis can it live on that it's entire life?

So from what I've seen copperband(CB) often die in people's tanks within a week due to being unhealthy in the store and not eating in the tank. What I don't understand is the post that say there CB died at 6 months. Does anyone know why? Could this just be due to inexperienced hobbyist or could it be there missing a key part of there diet so they slowly wither away? If anyone has experience or knows why I would appreciate the information.
Thank you.
there is a situation with origin of the CBB and method of capture. Mine was an eating machine from day one and there are many that simply dont eat and may be due to cyanide capture or poor trans-shipping.
Ive had mine going on 5 years at near 6" and it eats all frozen, pellets and even flakes. Im sure it would eat a dog biscuit if i offered it. . LOL

I would not feed a copperband only mysis. It is a lot of shell. I feed Frozen LRS Fish Frenzy, live worms, and fresh clam (the kind you buy for people to eat that are alive at the market). I know I told someone here to switch foods because theirs was getting skinny on only mysis. The food swap fixed their problem.

Plus copperbands are pigs... I swear mine could eat 100 live black worms in one go if I let it.

The white worms are better then black. They live awhile in saltwater and keep wiggling which fish like :)

Yea that's true rn I feed it twice a day with mysis but I have to get some more frozen food so I'll see what I can find.

I have 2 tangs with my cbb, the tangs focus on each other. No one bothers my cbb. As for vetteguy, his tank is huge with tons of room and hiding places.

Got my CBB thought QT just fine, ate like a pig.

Got into the display with a bunch of tangs, angels and triggers and just ended up passing away soon after :(
Yea I think it's really rare to be able to keep one in a tang with a bunch of agressive fish like that but apparently it can be done.

I wonder if the key to having a CB with tangs is to have multiple tangs to limit aggression overall

Mine is with a yellow tang but the copperband chases the tang around. My yellow tang is just really mellow.

I had the scopas tang with the cbb first, they just follow each other around.
I added a clown tang 8 months ago. Cbb and scopas still hang out. But the scopas picks at the clown tang.

I have 24 tangs and 17 other fish. CBB has always been with my tangs

Can you buy frozen black worms? Currently there hard to find. Do frozen foods lose there nutrients?
Feed quality foods.
Favorites for mine is:
Rods original formula
LRS Herbivore diet
Chopped krill
chopped clam
spirulina brine shrimp
