Interesting. Mine is virtually silent; the same as my Varios 6 when I run them at the same speed and neither have any significant vibrations. Mine is plumbed with 1 ¼" pipe all the way, so I don't know if the increased back pressure is causing the issue, or perhaps a reflected pressure wave caused by the reduction? It's also possible you have a defective unit, too.

Yea it’s very weird the hum is in the pipeing not the pump

Thought I’d chime in here, this is what my COR-15 looked like out of the box... Shipping box wasn’t damaged, and BRS packed it very good.

The driver was actually separated, and would not snap back together. Sent it back for a refund...

Looks used, returned to me.

Both Cor 15's I received which I ordered about a month apart had zero scuffs, marks, or otherwise signs of use.

I thought that too, but the Neptune box was still shrink wrapped in plastic. A lot of effort to conceal a used/return.

You raise a great point. Maybe just over zealous packer then :D Like I said I have a pair that I picked up from two different vendors about a month apart. Like you said they are boxed up well with shrink wrap and not a blemish on the box. The outer packing also showed no signs of mishandle. So I really don't know but mine defiantly had any marks or scuffs. Great pump though so far and both have been running since April and May (return and skimmer).

Hard to say what the turn over is through the tank though. Also after one cleaning I got a error on Fusion and the pump wouldn't start. Ended up that after I cleaned it the internal o-ring to the case wasn't set correctly or it fell off. About the only complaint I have about the pump is that o-ring. Not the easiest to set or keep on after a cleaning...
