What do you think?

How would you rate these against some of the bigger names like Reef Octopus and Vertex?

I just impulsively ordered a D700 for my 45 gallon frag tank that is going up with a 40 breeder sump so maybe 60-65 gallons total.

I have the d700 on my 120 with a 40b sump. Seems to work great and is much easier to adjust than the curve 5 I had on my 75. I never mess with the motor speed and leave it at 100%. I played with it at first but once I got the water height right I rarely touch it. It was too cheap to not try and I'm glad I bought it.

I have a D500 on my 55 gal mixed reef and love it! Pulls a lot of skimmate and easy to dial in.

I have a D300 on my system, 75 gallons total volume and it works great.

At what water height to you have the d700 thewbell? I have one and it is in the optimal mark and in 4 speed and I think that it could be better.

Good to hear these positive reviews. I was also wondering about water height. I'm about to make the sump and was thinking 8"?

My D300 is in a Trigger system sump with about 10 inches of water. That maybe why I do not have mine running at full pump power. At 8 inches you may need to run it a full power to get the skimmate you want.

I have a D500 in my Trigger Ruby 30 sump and I had to raise it up a bit to get it to run at full pump output. Pulls skimmate like a boss on my 50g total system.

I have mine in about 6.5" of water with the outlet about 70% open and it pulls a very dark skimmate. Every once in a while it stops producing and the bubbles stay very low for a few hours but it always picks back up.

Why is the reason for the bubbles stay low mine do it too ,is this a tipical issue for all the skimmer or only for ours?

You said earlier that you have the pump at setting 4/10.

Yes I did ,it skim well but sometimes it stay low and then resume the skim

I seem to remember my curve 5 skimmer doing the same thing every once in a while and not producing many bubbles for a little while but it always bounced back too. Not sure if it is normal or not though.

Does it do it when you feed a certain food? PE mysis cease all skimming in my tank for a few hours. Almost as soon as it hits the water, the foam head completely dissipates. Also did it if I'd washed my hands with certain soaps just before putting them into the tank.

No it does in the night almost every time it happen without any diference just happened from nowhere.

Great skimmers for the price. Most skimmers are designed the same these days and these jebao dc pinwheel pump's are rebranded in most models. You just don't pay for a name with these skimmers.
