Using revive on all my corals after my lfs advised me to use it. Had few hitchhikers lose in the tank before.

Started potassium chloride recently and easily my favorite dip ever.
I switched from Bayer to potassium chloride a few years ago for ACROPORA only.

Hands down, the best dip for acros. Some of my montipora do NOT like it though.

Bayer.

Here are recommendations from 2 of my favorite coral vendors.

also, anyone getting Acropora, be careful doing dips. Some of the Tenuis and thin skinned Acros can be sensitive to dips. We only use Bayer for dipping SPS corals. Revive and Coral Rx can be a little ruff on them.

Reef Primer by Polyp Lab is our favorite as it gets the job done and is fairly gentle (I may have accidentally left coral in Reef Primer overnight a couple of times and it didn't kill them).

Has anyone tried the new Bayer fir coral dips , I know they changed the formula?
They did not change the formula, the product was bought by another company a few years ago and it’s been repackaged…same formula as before

what do you use for your montis
I am not sure I've found the "best" one yet for montis. I've tried Melafix, Coral Rx and Revive. They are all pretty much the same tea tree oil (melaleuca), eucalyptus, pine oil concoctions.

They will all dislodge monti eating nudis, but not necessarily kill them. So I am still open to other ideas. Same goes for zoanthid dips. I am still open.

But for acros, the case is settled for me. AEFW literally curl up and die in just a couple minutes and the sticks do very well in the dip. 1 tablespoon per gallon tank water solution.
