I can tell you what I won’t use again…redsea dipx…it stressed the hell out of a few spa corals

I am not sure I've found the "best" one yet for montis. I've tried Melafix, Coral Rx and Revive. They are all pretty much the same tea tree oil (melaleuca), eucalyptus, pine oil concoctions.

They will all dislodge monti eating nudis, but not necessarily kill them. So I am still open to other ideas. Same goes for zoanthid dips. I am still open.

But for acros, the case is settled for me. AEFW literally curl up and die in just a couple minutes and the sticks do very well in the dip. 1 tablespoon per gallon tank water solution.
not to derail the thread.., but have you had any experience using potassium chloride and noticing any other acro/sps pests coming off? (like the red/black bugs, etc)

to get back on topic: i also use reef prime here and there. so overall i use: coral rx, revive, and reef prime. have had great success with coral rx and revive.

It kills normal pods real quick. Brittle stars too. Sadly, I killed an acro crab so all inverts likely.

red/black/white bugs are said NOT to be effected. I find that surprising, but it seems to be the conventional wisdom. 24 hour Interceptor is required for those. Those bugs are a real problem in the hobby, as few people regularly use Interceptor. I know a few professional acropora aquaculture guys that run Interceptor twice a year without exception. These are not dips, but whole tank treatments. Kills all your pods, crabs and shrimp though.
