I'm going to guess that Fluval light isn't going to support any high light needing corals such as SPS, but should be ok for lower light corals such as mushrooms, some zoas, bubble corals and other lower light specific corals. Canister filters and bioballs can be nitrate traps if not cleaned on a regular basis, they trap detritus which continue to break down causing issues. Not sure how often you clean those areas. Now my suggestion to you would to get a PAR 38 led with a spectrum between 5500K-7000K and replace the bioballs and filter pad with a ball of Chaetomorpha to help absorb excess nutrients. Stability is the key to reef keeping and your setup is going to cause you to have swings in nitrates, and ammonia just from settling detritus. Pick up an API saltwater master kit, it'll give you the basics on what you need to test for or take a water sample to your local LFS and get the results back to us and we can go from there to help get you on the right track.
